LIFE CHANGE IN AFRICA

As you may know, the centers we have in Africa are beacons of hope and places where compassion becomes tangible. The scope of the humanitarian assistance that is accessible at each center varies but they all exists in the middle of abject poverty and collectively provide places where the poorest of the poor can find; clean water, disease prevention training, education sponsorship, agriculture assistance, and a variety of other services. On a day to day basis from each center we are able flesh out God’s heart for those in extreme poverty.

Also central to our mission is a deep desire to pour into those who are thirsty the life changing love and spiritual renewal found in the person of Christ. Our centers work in tandem with local indigenous churches and provide an outlet for real time life on life disciple making. Thousands of people come and hear in their own language, taught by their own people, the Words of Life found in the Savior.

In the almost complete Togoville center, over the past year nearly 70families have found refuge in the redemptive work of Christ and are participating in weekly studies and leadership training groups. In Gichagi slum nearly 40 people are in mentoring being prepared to take charge. A well known gang member named Simon, who has been gradually coming to the bible studies turned from his past and gave his life toChrist 2 weeks ago and joined a group of Nationals ready to reach out to their people upon center opening. Both these centers are getting ready to open and serve the public on a large scale. Meanwhile the center in Kawangware, which is fully operational has now seen nearly5,000 people cross the line of decision and become followers of Christ since 2005. Around 900 young people and adults are in life-on-life discipleship groups that work in conjunction with the soccer leagues.
